At Springbridge Group, we believe that building strong communities is just as important as supplying quality materials. That’s why we’re proud to be supporting Men in Sheds Burnham, a fantastic local initiative bringing people together through creativity, conversation, and community projects.

Who Are Men in Sheds?

Men in Sheds is part of a larger movement designed to create welcoming, social spaces, traditionally for men but open to all, where people can connect, share skills, and work on practical projects together.

From woodworking and gardening to crafting and community builds, it’s all about reducing loneliness, improving wellbeing, and, most importantly, having fun.

The Burnham group have already built a thriving and inclusive community. Whether it’s making bird boxes, crafting seasonal decorations, or contributing to local projects, their impact is growing fast.

Supporting Their Latest Project

We recently had the pleasure of donating and delivering two bulk bags of 10mm shingle to support one of their newest initiatives.

The materials are being used for a newly repositioned planting area as part of the Care and Share project, which provides fresh produce to local food banks in Burnham and Slough. This is a brilliant example of how the group’s work directly benefits the wider community.

The shedders have already been hard at work, digging over land ready for spring, building flower beds using leftover materials, and growing vegetables that have been donated locally.

A Growing Space for a Growing Community

Excitingly, Men in Sheds Burnham are also in the process of getting a new, larger shed, giving them more room to create, collaborate, and expand their activities.

Their space isn’t just about tools and timber. It’s about connection. It’s somewhere people can drop in for a coffee, a chat, and a sense of belonging.

Making a Difference Locally

The group is already involved in a wide range of meaningful local projects, including:

• Repairing community benches
• Creating decorations for Burnham Library
• Building a stage at Lent Rise Primary School
• Crafting seasonal items such as Easter bunnies
• Growing and donating fresh vegetables

They also regularly attend local events, where they sell handmade items such as bird boxes, candlesticks, and decorations to raise funds for future projects.

Get Involved

Men in Sheds Burnham is open to anyone looking to get involved in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you’re handy with tools, enjoy gardening, or simply want to meet new people, there’s something for everyone.

They meet on Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 12pm at Burnham Bowls Club, Stomp Road.

There is a small membership fee of ÂŁ6 per quarter and ÂŁ3 per session, which helps cover running costs and materials.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited to continue supporting Men in Sheds Burnham as they grow, take on new projects, and make an even bigger impact in the local community.

If you’re local to Burnham or Slough, we’d highly encourage you to check them out, whether that’s popping by for a chat, visiting their stall at an event, or getting involved in one of their projects.
